The latest second quarter results from six spine and orthopedic device companies and three more notes from the last week:
1. SeaSpine, SI-Bone, Zimmer Biomet, NuVasive, Alphatec and Smith+Nephew all posted their second quarter financial results.
2. Orthofix’s M6-C artificial disc is being evaluated for contiguous two-level symptomatic cervical radiculopathy. Todd Lanman, MD, implanted the first device in the study.
3. Aurora Spine received 510(k) approval from the FDA for its Dexa-C cervical interbody system.
4. King of Prussia, Pa.-based medical device company Camber Spine got a green light from the FDA for two of its lumbar spacer products, the SPIRA-P and SPIRA-T.
